Snowflake!
Here's dear Snowflake, who a Bronx school-teacher persuaded the owner to surrender.
Snowflake's prior "owner" was a 26 year-old single mom with 5 kids -- the kids were the primary care-giver, even though the oldest was not yet a teen...

Here's what the teacher, Beth, wrote:
"She is a 6 month old black and white pit bull
who weighs about 20 pounds. She lives with 5 kids, 3
of whom are screaming lunatics in a tiny apartment in
the South Bronx and I don't think her life has been
hideous so much as unloved and neglectful. She is
timid but loving and cuddled up to me when I knelt to
hug her."

Snowflake is a diamond in the rough -- she's a real sweetheart, and all she needs is the right loving person to show her that there's more to life than irresponsible and unloving ownership -- please consider her -- you won't be disappointed! |

Ruby hails from Long Island, where she is in foster.

Her foster mom says,
"Ruby is a sweet,out going,bright and beautiful 14 week old puppy.She was rescued by a a friend and her daughter,from where she was certain to have been subjected to a miserable, and unthinkable life.She is presently in a foster home that she is sharing with a pitbull foster sister and brother who are both teaching her the ropes of being the "Perfect Little Girl".Also in the house are 2 cats which she finds very interesting.She walks around the house trying to figure out what's "different" about them,then politely goes on her way.
Ruby is doing incredibly well with her potty trainning and also her crating.She is full of puppy energy and loves playing with her tennis ball,Kong or throwing her stuffed animals into the air and chasing them when the other kids don't feel like playing anymore.She's doing wonderfully with her interaction with all animals and people and is catching on very quickly to basic commands and trainning.This little girl is going to be the perfect best friend for the right person or family.She will be spayed,microchipped and UTD on shots at the time of her placement."

Please consider this little lady, also. Cheryl worked like crazy to get her from a guy who was going to raise her for fighting -- GRRRR -- consider yourself bless, little Ruby! |

"Hi, my name is Cheryl, I live in New Haven, Ct. I have a 3yr old female pitbull. Shes beautiful, very friendly, playful and has alot of energy. I need to find her a home by the end of the week because Im moving and can't keep her. I don't want to give her to just anyone because I want her to be taken care of. Please help." |
