Well, here's the story of little Barbie, a girl who was originally given as a gift dog, who was surrendered after a few months of fun with her --(read: NEVER give gift pets!!) --

-- she is seen here at right, when she was named Precious, and her prior owner was trying to place her.

After a poor placement that led to her being returned, little Precious became BARBIE -- !!

This girl is only 6 months old, as of August 2005 -- and she needs some FUN in her life, thus the new name -- !!

Barbie is in a loving foster home now, where she is finally allowed to be a puppy -- she is playing with toys, running around and eating like a princess...

... the foster has her on a premium dry food, which I'm ecstatic about --

-- her prior owner was complaining about a developing skin rash on Barbie -- I immediately asked what he was feeding her --

"Ol' Roy" --

FRIENDS DON'T LET THEIR FRIENDS FEED OL' ROY -- it is the lowest grade of food possible!

... and her lost days of puppy-hood are now being made up for -- !!

I went to great measures to get this girl in to foster --

-- so great, that someone witnessing all the driving and problems I was going through said,

"You need a reality check -- there are thousands of dogs like this being put down every day -- you need to walk down the aisle of your local shelter and come to your senses. You're wasting your time."

Well, stronger fightin' words have never been spoken, and little Barbie IS my reality for now, and I am proud to have helped her!

So, if you're interested in this cupcake, please know that she is still VERY puppy -- she jumps, she plays, she mouths --

-- in other words, she's a typical big puppy girl --

Barbie will need obedience upon adoption, which she will respond to -- she is very smart and very willing to please --

-- a pit bull trait which I love -- !!
