"He told me she would be concidered a" very mild aggressive" and was very willing to have who ever adopted her trained by him to help them understand her. I thought I would have had better luck finding LUCKY a home.
I guess everyone is so scared of pits due to the bad press, that noone wants them, much less one they might have to work with! So I have been trying to find her a forever home. My place is only temporary, I have 4 dogs (2 pits and 2 poodles), also a parrot, and not much space. Lucky is a very SWEET girl. She LOVES people and I believe if she was in the right home she would be great! She might end up liking other animals if she had constant training and understanding. Unfortunatly I can't give it to her. We have spayed her, she 5 yrs old and current on all vaccines. If you have any thoughts or can help find her a forever home please contact me."
Well...
... Lucky's plight is unfortunate. One of her breed traits, dog aggression, is being held against her. This is quite an easily solved issue -- she needs to be placed as an only pet.
From the smile on her face, she also probably doesn't know that adult, altered, brindle pit bulls are historically nearly impossible for shelters to place.
We'll follow Lucky's lead and instead focus on the positives.
We'll try our hardest to find this girl a great home. Do you want to meet her? Do you want to be part of her success equation?
IF SO, fill out an adoption application above!
