Elmo says, "I have never been loved like this before" -- and we think he LIKES it!

Well, here's Elmo, the first of Asia's babies to go to his forever home --

-- more about Asia and her babies can be found here...

Here's Elmo at two weeks with his momma, Asia...

.... Asia went back to NYC two days ago, to be spayed and returned to her owner -- she's over 7 years old, so she needs that special place in her golden years... :D

Anyway, Elmo's on his way to his forever home at 8 weeks -- neutered, microchipped, wormed and up-to-date with shots -- !!

Here's the first of the family we meet, Lynn. Her husband and she have two children, and have had two pit bulls in the past...

At the home visit, Elmo warms up to momma quickly!

Lynn shows me pictures of her past two pit bulls, who both died of cancer.

The love this family has for these dogs is amazing -- their previous pup died last fall, and the family is just now ready to love again -- 7 months later --

-- they have even gone so far to stop their lawn treatment, for fear that it may bay carcinogenic (which is a good idea, in my opinion) --

-- they are also interested in the raw diet --

Anyway, back to Elmo and momma...

Next Elmo meets his new brother, new sister, and his sister's best friend...

... and back to momma!

As Elmo reviews the home, his new sister tells stories how she'll dress Elmo up in dresses for tea --

-- his reaction is hard to hide -- !!

Elmo gets a slow introduction to the family cat --

-- slow introductions are good, since puppies don't quite know what a cat is yet, and bad introductions are NEVER forgotten!

The kitchen floor becomes a play-place!

Out in the lawn, love for the little man has begun...

... his love continues...

So, Elmo and I hug and kiss good-bye...

... and he assures me, "I'm all set" -- !!

... with that, my work is complete --

-- Elmo is loved, and in his forever home...

... in the 11th hour, the neighbors stop by --

-- they will be Elmo's baby-sitters when his family is away, as they were for the family's prior pups...

... their first words, "Oh, we're glad you got another pit bull" --

-- words have never been sweeter!

So, with that, we're done --

-- Elmo is loved and loving, and home forever --

-- no breed bans needed here -- just responsible ownership and plenty of love --

THANK YOU, ALL, for helping keep this breed a family dog!
