Earl's enamored -- and so are they -- !! |
Here's the story of little Earl, one of the litter of SC pups that recently made their way up North --
-- more on them can be found here...
Here's Earl's baby-picture -- awwwww -- !! |
As I pack myself up for Earl's home visit, Thor watches my every move...
...making SURE that Earl AND his puppy smells go with him -- !!
We reach our destination and meet Matt, a software engineer, new husband and new home-owner -- !!
Little Earl couldn't be bothered with all these descriptions -- he just wanted pettin' -- !!
... and pettin' and toys he got -- !! |
Earl says in his most endearing southern drawl...
... "I luuuuuuv the suburbs -- !!"
Next, Matt fills out the adoption paperwork...
...and Earl stays close by, knowing a good thing when he sees it -- !!
Afterwards, bellies are rubbed and everyone's happy -- !! |
Then I show Matt the microchip scanner with Earl...
... "NO PROBLEM," says Earl -- !!
More on chipping can be found here --
And my work is done --
-- people often ask, "How can you just adopt pups out after you've become so attached to them?"
Well, the adults are tougher on me, since I get very attached to them --
-- and the puppies are easy, since we can breathe again after their departure -- !!

3 weeks later...
This is the best -- Matt writes --
"Hi Eric, I thought I would just send you a quick photo update of Earl (pit-lab puppy from S. Carolina). Well I’m not sure even where to start. Earl has been an absolute amazing addition to our family. We are trying to keep up with the amount of love and energy that he shows on a daily basis.
Earl arrived 1 month ago and was a little shy and timid but that changed the minute he met his new mom."
Oh how I love it when adopters keep babies' names -- !!
"They hit it off right from the start... " |
" As you can see in the picture above he arrived small but cute as ever.
You can see in the picture below one month later that he is definitely starting to grow into his gangly stage with legs a little bit longer then his body is currently made for.
But none the less this doesn’t seem to bother him and it doesn’t take long before he runs himself tired..."
"We enrolled Earl in a puppy obedeince class but we soon found out that he was way too advanced for the class and were told that we should probably sign up for the 2nd obedience class (We can’t take all the credit for this one).
Earl seems to love learning new tricks. So much so that we are running out of new tricks to teach him). As much as he loves to learn he still can’t help but be a puppy."

"Eric, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping bring Earl into our lives. He has changed our lives in such an amazing way since the day he arrived.
We look forward to the many fun filled years ahead of us and will definitely keep in touch. Thanks for all that you do."
Thank you, so much, Matthew, Heidi and Earl!
