Well, I awoke this morning to find Precious sleeping in this position --
-- they say that when dogs sleep on their backs, they're really content and happy. There's no doubt Precious was telling me that with this pose. This is a far cry from her days of abandonment as a breeder pup in rural Missouri.
Sometimes I forget how thankful I am for these dogs -- their intelligence, tolerance and beauty. Also, how thankful I am to live in an area that allows this breed, not banning them simply for their namesake.
So, it's a good day for Precious and for all of us --- no puppies crying, just a bison knucklebone for her to chew on and country music on the radio... :D
