More babies went home this weekend -- plus one super-sized baby -- !!

Well, we had a great weekend here at SPBR, with many of the babies going to great homes --

-- here's a bit of their stories, with more to follow -- !!

First, little Brandie went home in Upstate New York --

-- shy and demure she was -- so much that she wouldn't initially budge from my arms -- !!

After and hour or so of lovin', she quickly warmed up to her new family members -- !!

Little Arja, from the Ohio litter, to Jill and her husband in Upstate New York --

-- she couldn't be happier to than to have a warm, loving home as winter sets in -- !!

This is MILES from the abuse situation Arja faced in Ohio -- GREAT WORK ALL!!

Next is our super-sized puppy, Yoda --

-- his story is a sad one -- thrown from a car in rural Ohio, and then rescued by Bev --

-- more on his past is here --

Yoda was likely dumped for his untreated (and worsening) demodex mange problem. Here he is, as he came to rescue -- painful and with no fur.

By the way, he is the best foster I have had -- ever -- he has the best temperament of any dog I have ever had.

Fast-forward a few months...

... and all Yoda can say is, "How do you like me now" --

-- ANY QUESTIONS??!!

We owe Yoda's complete recovery to Stephanie, a veterinary technician who fostered Yoda and vetted him back to full health --

-- she is exceptional, and she gave this boy the chance and recovery of a lifetime --

-- and that's not even the half of Yodie's success --

He went home to Heidi and Matt, who adopted Earl from SPBR this past summer --

-- they also were brave enough to foster the Ohio abuse litter for a few weeks --

-- and Yoda is now the newest addition to their family -- !!

Since the placement, Matt writes --

"He is an amazing dog and it is crazy how easy he fits into a situation he is so unfamiliar with. Thanks so much for bringing this little guy into our lives."

Next, Carlos and his brother flew in from DC to adopt Junior --

-- this was NOT an easy transaction -- but was well worth it -- !!

Carlos and his wife Sabrina live in Falls Church, VA -- and were determined to adopt a pup from SPBR --

-- Sabrina is 8 mos. pregnant, so Carlos and his brother flew up for their meet-and-greet, and little Junior won the prize -- !!

THANK YOU to people like Morgan, a big SPBR fan and fellow pit bull owner, who did a thorough home-visit in Falls Church -- !!

And here we have Maddie, from the Jersey litter, who went home to Melinda and her boyfriend... with some watchful grandparents -- !!

Melinda is a special education teacher in an urban environment -- how we'd LOVE to see little Maddie grow up to helping kids learn to respect and love this breed!!

PS - the terrier is a rescue, too, who her parents flew up from Texas -- sight unseen -- kudos -- !!

After all that, I still made it home for our holiday birthday party --

-- my nephews and niece didn't disappoint, and once again proved the vast differences between boys and girls -- !!

THANK YOU ALL, for a great home-coming for these babies -- YOU made a world of difference to them -- !!
